A Public Display of Mustacheness

Last Friday I hit the streets of Down Town Sacramento to campaign for Major Kevin Johnson. I had my "friend" Aldo create some flyers that I could hand out. My crew and I were out for a few hours before the rain started. All in all it was a solid effort to raise awareness that KJ is a finalist for the "Robert Goulet Memorial Mustached American of the Year Award".

I hope all 5 of you vote daily. I know my brother David voted 50 times one day.

Mustache under distress

I had my first mustache interview last weekend. I went to Oakley, CA to interview my Dad, he has had a mustache for my entire life,  so that pretty much makes him an expert on the subject.

When we were setting up our camera, a beautiful Cannon T2i, we discovered that our batteries were dead. I called the local Best Buys to see if they sold chargers for the LP-E8 battery pack but they did not. Lucky for me I also grabbed a Flip Cam for b-roll and to provide a second angle during the interview. We made the best of the situation and I have an interview done.
On a side note Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson has been nominated for “Robert Goulet Memorial Mustached American of the Year." I nominated him, so you should vote for him.

Production Week 1

Welcome to the production blog for my Mustache Documentary. For those of you who don't know I am currently making a documentary on the subject of mustache discrimination. This will be the first film to cover the topic of how the mustache is viewed in modern society and examen the stigmas behind the mustache. This project has a lot of potential and with the help of The American Mustache Institute I hope to raise awareness of the afflictions of the mustached community.

I am accepting donations for production costs and travel expenses.
